Edgecumbe Squash & Tennis Club

The Edgecumbe Squash Club was first established in 1972 by the working men of the Rangitaiki Plains to establish a sporting and social club to service the needs of this geographically unique area in heart of the Eastern Bay of Plenty and was officially opened in 1975.

The original building had 2 squash courts with overhead viewing until an additional court with a modern glass back and tiered seating was built in 1981.

In 1997, a tennis turf was built with markings for 4 tennis courts and lighting.  Then in 2005 the Squash Club merged with the tennis club and officially changed its name to the Edgecumbe Squash and Tennis Club.
