PLAYERS CODE OF CONDUCT
Please wear Squash specific (non marking) shoes on the court, do not wear bare feet or jandals etc as these mark the courts and make them slippery
It is preferred that Men play in short sleeve shirts/polo shirts
Safety glasses are recommended
Play within the spirit of the rules (available on Squash NZ Website)
Never argue with the referees decision on court, discuss it with the referee afterwards by all means
Control your temper! Do not shout or use bad language, do not throw your racket or other equipment
Be a good sport and shake your opponents hand at the end of the match
When warming the ball up, hit the ball once to yourself, then hit the ball across to the other player
Treat all players as you yourself would like to be treated
Do not interfere with, bully or take unfair advantage of another player
Remember the goals of the game are to have fun and improve your skills
It is customary for the winner to buy the loser a drink at the end of the match
If you are in a tournament and you have a question, ask the TC (Tournament Control) person, they should be able to help you
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your tournament game time, please tell the TC you are here and tick your name on the board
After you have played your tournament game you will be required to referee and/or mark the next game on the court you have just played
Please remember to pay your entry fee - preferably before your first game
