GIRLS AT HIGH SCHOOL, VARSITY or ARA or WORKING - JOIN SAINTS !

Boys play for their High School, but high school girls can only play regular weekly cricket through clubs. Saints accepts girls from any school - we have even had girls travelling from Nelson/Blenheim, Rangiora/Pegasus, Darfield out west and Timaru and Dunedin in the South. Women who are at Varsity / Ara or working have similar options as high shool girls.  

Girls and women can play in several  divisions:

1. Premier - for the best female cricketers either at high school or working. Games are predominantly 50 over - starting at 1030am on a saturday morning

2. Premier Reserve Grade. This is a competitive all girls cricket grade, and is a feeder grade into the Premier womens grade. This grade is played on good grass wickets and is 30-40 overs in duration. 

3. Social -  This grade is non competitive and the players are generally ladies 20 years + and they play 8 aside T20 cricket starting at 2pm on a saturday afternoon. This team has loads of fun and they love the game and are very welcoming to new players. See separate tab "Social Womens Cricket" 

4 Under 16 grade. A good stepping stone from junior cricket. Players are generally in year 9-11 at high school.

It's really simple to register and you can pay later. To register simply click on https://www.stalbanscricket.co.nz/admin/register.php and select either 

  • Adult Member (Women) ,
  • Full-time Tertiary Student or
  • Secondary School Pupil

You dont need to pay until just after the season starts , but registering between Aug - Oct will allow us to communicate with you about trainings, social events etc. We do have pre season training startuing in August. 

If you register to play womens cricket once the season starts (i.e. after October) we will contact you within a few days to try and get you in a team - so either register or give Barry a call .....
