WHAT CLASS SHOULD I ENROL MY CHILD IN?
We run our classes in age groups. You can find our list of classes and our leaflet here: Click here
If you need advice on what class to enrol in, feel free to contact us - we are happy to help!

I KNOW WHAT CLASS I WANT - HOW DO I ENROL?
All our enrolments are done online. Please go here to fill out an enrolment form: Ready to Enrol?
Once we receive your form we will email you to confirm your child's place and payment details.

DO I HAVE TO ENROL EVERY TERM?
Yes - you must fill out an enrolment form every term in order to book your child in. You are not guaranteed a spot just because your child attended class the term before. Enrolments are taken on a term-by-term basis, not a yearly basis.

MY CHILD HAS TWO NAMES, WHICH SHOULD I PUT DOWN?
Please put down your child's preferred name on their enrolment form ie. the name they would prefer to be called by their coaches.

WHEN ARE MY FEES DUE?
We must receive the full payment of your child's term fees before their first class. If their fees are not paid they will not be allowed on the floor.

CAN MY CHILD TRIAL A CLASS?
Yes - please contact us directly to book in a trial class. Please note that trial classes must be paid for before your child is allowed onto the floor. The cost of a trial class is as follows:
45 mins - $12     /   60 mins - $15     /    90 mins - $17
If you decide to enrol for the rest of the term, the cost of the trial class will be taken off the term fees. The remainder of the term fees must be paid before your child's second class.

HOW DO I PAY MY FEES?
We accept payment for fees via bank transfer into our account or via eftpos at the office.
GymCity Papatoetoe Bank Account: ASB 12-3044-0320237-00

WHAT DOES MY CHILD WEAR?
Only competitive gymnasts are required to wear leotards to their classes.
In summer, a t-shirt and shorts or tights are best for all other gymnasts. In winter, a jumper can be worn during warm-up. Classes are done in bare feet. For safety reasons, long hair must be tied back and no jewellery, hoodies or zippers can be worn. Plain stud earrings are okay. Please make sure your child brings a named drink bottle.

CAN MY CHILD WEAR RELIGIOUS/CULUTURE ITEMS OF CLOTHING OR JEWELLERY?
Yes, as long as it does not pose any risk to their safety or the safety of others, and will not cause damage our specialist equipment. Any damage to our equipment will be chargable. If you have any concerns please do not hesitate to contact us. GymCity is accepting of all cultures, religions, and personal circumstances.

DO I HAVE TO STAY WITH MY CHILD DURING THEIR CLASS?

If your child is in a BabyGym or PlayGym class, you must be on the floor with them at all times.
If not, you are free to drop your child off and come back for them at the end of class.
You must drop your child off and pick them up inside the building for safety reasons. No child will be released to go out into the carpark by themselves.

I WILL HAVE ANOTHER CHILD WITH ME - CAN THEY JOIN IN WITH THEIR SIBLING?
No child will be allowed to join in with a class if they have not paid to be there. You may be able to pay for a one-off class for your other child(ren) if there are still spaces in the class. If not, they will not be able to join in. The office must be notified if you wish to pay for a casual class for an extra child at least 10 minutes before the class starts. Trial class fees listed above will apply.

We have a seated area with books and toys for children to play with while their siblings are in a class. It is your responsibility as a parent to make sure that your child does not go past the yellow barriers or play on any equipment. If they need to go to the bathroom you must accompany them across the floor for safety reasons. Please ensure the front door is kept clear of toys and shoes as it is considered a fire exit.

WHAT HAPPENS IF MY CHILD IS SICK OR MISSES A CLASS?
We guarantee at least 8 weeks of classes in each term. GymCity does not offer refunds or make-up classes if your child is away. In the case of serious injury preventing your child from returning, a medical certificate must be provided and a refund request must be made to the committee. Any refunds will incur an administration fee of $20 and any affiliation fees paid on behalf of your child to Gymnastics NZ will not be refunded.

MY CHILD LOST THEIR SHOES/DRINK BOTTLE/BELONGINGS - WHAT DO I DO?
GymCity does not take responsibility for any personal belongings of participants. Please make sure everything your child brings to gym is named and left in a cubby hole or safe space - this includes drink bottles, shoes, clothing, etc. Any clothing left behind will be kept by the door in lost property and periodically donated to charity if unclaimed.
