INFORMATION

Rugby League at Mairehau High School is joined with Haeata Community Campus to make our composite rugby league 'Okea Ururoatia'. Rugby League is played during the winter season and is run and organised by Canterbury Rugby League. Okea Ururotia engages in all CRL programmes and fixtures in preparation to attend the Secondary Schools Rugby League Tournament during September.

UNIFORM

Players that are engaged in the rugby league programme will be provided with a playing jersey to play their weekly fixture matches in. They will also be provided a playing uniform (jersey, shorts and socks) for Nationals. Players and students are expected to provide their own playing boots and safety equipment needed for games. 

PAYMENT

Fee's for Rugby League is charged per season. The fee per student is $50 for the weekly fixture season. This covers the entry fee for the team to CRL, transport to and from trainings/games. Payment for the NZSS Nationals differientiates based on the year and season. Players will recieve this cost and a breakdown of the costs required to attend the NZSS with ample time before they depart.
