THE MEMBERS TROPHY 

This trophy was donated to the Club by Jean and Maurie Daubney and is presented annually to the member who has made an outstaning contribution to the Club.

It is voted for by members of Mapua Bowling Club.

2022 / 2023: DI BLANCHET

Not only an outstanding club secretary but the person that mops up all the jobs that never get done by anyone else.  Well deserved, Di is totally committed to Mapua Bowling Club.

2021 / 2022: MURRAY BLANCHET & DENZIL STEPHENSON

Two very deserving winners for all that they do without having to be asked on club and non-club days.

2020 / 2021: BILL MCKINLAY

The members were delighted to honour Bill, an unassuming man who quietly gets on with anything and everything.  He always arrives early to help with tasks around the green; sees jobs that need doing and gets on with them without being asked or told.  He is fully supportive of the Club on and off the green.

2019 / 2020: CHRIS GREEN

A worthy winner for all the many hours she has given to the Club catering for roll-up days, club dinners, social evenings and members get-togethers.  Beautiful meals always arrived on time with little fuss and perfect direction with Chris at the helm.

2018 / 2019: GLENN SAUNDERSON

A unanimous and well deserved choice, Glenn has transformed our club green into something that is now a pleasure to play on.  From a club that reluctantly had to cancel last season's home tournaments due to an embarrassingly poor playing surface to a club that enjoyed full greens for competitions during the 2018/2019 season is remarkable.  The 2019/2020 green is something to look forward to.

2017 / 2018: MICHAEL BUSBY

The inaugural and most worthy recipient of this trophy has, over the years, been a respected and inspriring club member serving in numerous positions.  From President to Bar Manager, an Umpire and a member of the "Green Team" along with being a player who has represented the Club both at home and away.
