Pre Season Training

Year 7/8 Pre Season Training

  • Starting Monday 19th February (for 3 weeks)
  • 3:30pm - 4:30pm 
  • You will go over netball skills and games to set you up for the 2024 netball season!

Senior Pre Season Training

  • Yr 9 and up Pre-Season Netball Training !!W
  • ith Jo Lumsden, starting Wednesday the 14th of Feb at 6.30pm
  • Meeting at the Rugby Grounds on the following dates:
  • 14th, 21st & 28th Feb20th & 27th March3rd April
  • This is open to anyone wanting to play Netball for Methven
  •  no registrations needed just come along! Register your interest by clicking “going” on our events on Facebook

Trial Dates

Please have your online registrations in by Monday 4th March so we can be organised for trials.
Be warmed up and ready to go for your time slot.

Thursday 7th March 

  • Yr 7/8 - 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm
  • Secondary School - 5.00 pm to 6.30 pm
  • Seniors - 6.30 pm to 8.00 pm

  • Yr 7/8 - not required on this date
  •  Secondary School - 5.00 pm to 6.30 pm

Thursday 14th March

  • Secondary School - 5.00 pm to 6.30 pm

Please complete your online registration form before trials.

Secondary School players:
​​​​​​​If you played Thursday premier in 2023 please register at that level. Other girls will not miss out on the opportunity to play at that level but will be invited to trial for Premier - either before or after the first trial.

Year 6 and below teams do not trial.

  • Wednesday 1 May: Mid Canterbury Netball will be holding a NetballSmart and new rules education night. All teams must be represented.

  • Saturday 1 June: No netball
  • Saturday 29 June: No netball
  • Saturday 13 July: No netball
  • Saturday 27 July: Year 6 teams will play 7 aside netball to lead them up to playing 7 aside in 2025. The Year 5 teams will continue to play the 6v6 game in a round robin format.
