Becoming a Member

Nelson Hinemoa Croquet Club (NHCC) has nine full lawns on Rutherford Park, equipment available and comfortable club rooms with full kitchen facilities, all in the CBD of our wonderful top-of-the south Nelson City. The Club strives to provide a friendly, inclusive and supportive environment for the most competitive with world ranking, to the casual player, playing for fun and friendship.

​​​​​ ANNUAL FEES The membership year runs from 1 July to 30th June 

  1. Full membership           $220  After New Year a part year subscription is offered
  2. First Year Membership $110  Only available if you have not previously belonged to a croquet club
  3. Associate Membership $60  For full members of another NZ Croquet Club
  4. Junior membership       $60  For players 18 years and under
  5. Mallet Hire                    $50  For 12 months mallet hire

New Starters who have not previously played croquet are offered 2 months play on GC club days with no charge. You will be paired with an experienced player and will be offered tips and encouragement by our friendly club members. A club mallet can be borrowed on these days. 

Green Fees Visitors who play on the club lawns must pay $5 each per day. There is a box above the desk inside by sliding doors. Put the money in the envelope provided with name, date, and amount and post it there. Note that if you play regularly you are expected to join the club.

Visitors to the Nelson Region who want to join our club days for a short duration should contact the treasurer to discuss payment options.
