Tāhunanui Junior Development Festival (TJDF) Player RegistrationThe Tāhunanui Junior Development Festival is a development tournament where all players are welcome. Teams from Canterbury, Marlborough, Motueka, West Coast, and Nelson gather for a fun weekend of playing touch.Tournament Details:
- Dates: Saturday & Sunday, 14–15 November (Christchurch Show Weekend).
- Location: Tāhunanui Playing Fields.
- Games: Played Saturday and Sunday.
Eligibility & Age Criteria:To ensure correct team placement, please provide your date of birth during registration:
- Under 12s: Born 2015 or later.
- Under 14s: Born 2013–2014.
Note: In years where we have sufficient numbers to create two teams per grade, players will be placed into either Richmond or Tāhuna teams based on their school.
Uniforms:The registration cost covers a playing top which you get to keep.

- Important: Final shirt orders are placed immediately after the first training session.
Training:Trainings are held at the Tāhunanui training grounds on Friday evenings, once the final school touch round of the day has finished.
- Time: Sessions typically start around 7 PM.
- Duration: Each session lasts approximately 60 mins.
