Game Day Live Scoring:

This year will see the introduction of live scoring for all grades and teams. This is not as difficult as it may sound.  Each team must have a dedicated scorer for the game and access to a mobile phone. More details and information on this to follow.

Umpires:

We rely heavily on player umpires and this year our umpire theory sessions will be compulsory for all teams that are required to provide player/umpires. We are always on the lookout for anyone that is interested in beginning their umpire pathway or anyone out there that may already have completed that pathway and would like to join our amazing group of centre Umpires. If you or anyone you know would be interested in picking up a whistle and taking up umpiring, please ask them to get in touch with us.

New Rules:

There are a number of new netball rules being implemented this season. Netball Kapiti has Centre personnel trained to deliver these new rules out to our members and community. All coaches/managers players and supporters need to take the opportunity to learn these new rules.  We will be running workshops and we would encourage everyone associated with netball to attend. The more people that understand the rules the greater the experience for everyone.  The dates for the workshops will be advised as soon as they have been confirmed.

BBQ Fundraising:

If your club or school would like to secure a date for running the BBQ, please let us know as soon as possible. These are a great way to fundraise monies for your club or school.  First in first served so get in quick.

Court Bookings:

If you require the use of the courts and lights for training these must be booked with us. There is a charge for the use of the lights which will be invoiced directly to your club or school.

If you wish to secure a court but NOT use the lights -  you will be provided with a key and allocated one of the courts (6 -10), there is no charge for this.

Courts 1 -5 cannot be booked (unless you require use of the lights),  these are public courts so it is first in first served. If you do require the use of lights on these courts then please book these in with us. There is no charge for the court use only but there is for the lights.

Your keys do not give you 24/7 access to our courts or facilities, any use of the Prem court, pavilion and Courts/Lights is as per your booking date/time only. If you would like to use them outside of your booking then please contact us to check availability.

Any keys provided for the courts remain the property of Netball Kapiti Centre and must be returned at the end of the season. If keys are not returned there will be charge made to your club or school for the replacement cost.

AGM:

Our AGM has been set for Monday March 18th. Details have been forwarded to all clubs and schools. The agenda will be confirmed closer to the date. Details of the AGM and the delegate form can be found on our website www.netballkapiti.org.nz under the 2023 AGM tab.

We look forward to seeing you all at the courts during 2024.
