NETBALL KAPITI PERFORMANCE PROGRAM 2023/2024

Invitations have been sent, please keep a look out and please read the information clearly and diary the important dates.

​​​​​​Netball Kapiti piloted our first Performance Program in 2022 to 2023.

The program commenced on 1 November 2022 and will be completed on 31st August 2023.

The purpose of our new Performance Program is below:

Ka Whakapono matou I te paetae (Believe to Achieve)

Te kaupapa matua - Purpose

To provide a performance program for Under 16 and Under 18 age grade players who have the desire and talent to achieve at the highest level of netball.

Nga huarahi - Pathway 

Foster the pathway of knowledge to strength, independence and growth for future generations.


Nga whaainga – Player Goals

  • To be selected for the Netball Kapiti Performance One or Two Program.
  • To commit and complete the Performance Program.
  • To trial for a Netball Kapiti Centre age grade representative team in 2023.
  • To be successful in being selected for a Netball Kapiti Centre age grade representative team in 2023.
  • To train hard and be a valuable member of the team.
  • To set, reach and maintain individual goals throughout the representative season.
  • To achieve at the highest level.

Players are identified and invited to participate in the performance program by the Netball Kapiti Development Committee. The identification process is completed during the Netball Kapiti Winter Competition.

Eligibility:

  • Players need to be available to trial for the U18 age grade representative team for 2024 and be under the age of 18 years of age as at 1 January 2024.  (Please note, all Performance Players will be encouraged to trial for the U18 representative team.  Participating in this program does not guarantee a position in the team).
  • Players need to be available to trial for the U16 age grade representative team for 2024 and be under the age of 16 years of age as at 1 January 2024. (Please note, all Performance Players will be encouraged to trial for the U18 representative team.  Participating in this program does not guarantee a position in the team).
  • Players need to be playing netball in the Netball Kapiti Centre winter competition.
