Player Development

PLAYER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAMMES 

The purpose of our Player Development Programmes, Revision & Extension Clinics together with our Off-Season Training & Skills programmes is to provide reinforcement of the basic fundamental skills that all netballers need to know. The core skills of footwork, movement, body balance, ball skills and tactical awareness (specifically court sense) are lacking in our younger players. 

Our team of experienced coaches will guide and give coaching correction during the clinics and will provide positive reinforcement on the core fundamentals, so young players can continue to grow and develop their game sense and individual skills in the game of netball.

The Player Extension clinics are an opportunity for players to get specialist skills and game play tactical coaching. 

October School Holiday Player Extension Clinics 

The follwoing programmes will be avaiable during the Oct ober School Holdiays. Please note that these are Extenson Clinc and Players MUST have good skill fundementals and understaning of the game of netball. This is not a programme for new players. 

Venue: Barfoot & Thompson Netball Centre - Indoor Arena, 44 Northcote Rd, Takapuna

Cost: $65.00

Clinics on the 3rd, 4th & 10th are: 9.30am -12.30pm (Arena doors are open from 9.00am)

N.B.  Friday 11th October Clinic time is 9am-12noon  - (Arena doors open from  8.30am)

  • Year 6 & 7 Extension Clinic - Thursday 3rd October (registrations close Monday 30th Sept or when full)

  • Year 8, 9 & U15 Extension Clinic - Friday 4th October (registrations close Monday 30th Sept or when full)

  • Year 7 & 8 Extension Clinic - Thursday 10th October (registrations close Monday 7th Oct or when full)

  • Year 8, 9 & U15 Extension Clinic- Friday 11th October (registrations close Monday 7th Oct or when full) note programme times are different to other clinics

N.B. Players MUST be experienced netballers and already know the fundamentals of the game. These Programmes are NOT SUITABLE FOR BEGINNER OR NEW TO NETBALL PLAYERS.  

Players must wear appropriate sports clothing and netball shoes to train in, bring their water bottle and morning tea/snack food.
