Term 2 Review

  • Football

The day was run well from tracy at Huapai and Nic from West Coast Rangers. The referees did a fantastic job. The use of the tournify app was a big help on the day as schools could keep up to date with live scoring etc while not having to go to tournament HQ regularly.

  • Basketball

A well run day. Only had one issue with an adult that was swiftly dealt with. The referees from local schools did a good job. Morgan did a great job organising her first tournament. Well done Morgan.

  • Table Tennis

An enjoyable day had by all. Thank you to Michelle and her team for hosting this tournament down at Hobsonville Point

  • Hockey

A few less teams competing this year which helped with the draw this year. Yr 5/6 was well accommodated this year. It was good most schools played most of their games on the same turf. That alleviated the stress levels on the day.

Term 3 Preview

  • Netball

Draw will be out soon. Could be possible that all 3 ranked teams will play their own comp. All information for the day is now availble online under the Sports Information tab on the website.

  • Yr 5/6 Netball

$8 teams entered this year. Yr 6 girls have the most of any grade, which means their game times will be reduced slightly in order to accommodate game time. Draw will be out by the end of the week. Managers meeting will be taking place at 9:15 am with first game taking place at 9:30 am. Finals should be finished just after 2 pm. We currently have 5 umpires from Massey high School and 2 from Hobby Point. Please be prepared to umpire games. High school students will be used for the finals to allow for consistency.

  • Cross Country

Taking place once again at Muriwai surf club. Students need to ensure they are wearing shoes. Please only select students who can run the distance.

  • Yr 5/6 Football

Cancelled in Term 2 due to the weather. We are looking at getting this off the ground again this term in the week of 18 August. Scott to reach out to Nic from West Coast Rangers to see if he is keen to facilitate this again. If not Mauricio from Kiwi Kick Stars is happy to run the tournament at Wainoni Park in Greenhithe. Scott Will have an answer on this early next week.

  • Volleyball

18 teams currently entered with ony 14 teams available. A number of options were discussed so all teams can compete. It was decided all 3 ranked schools will participate in a separate tournament on the same day at either Hobby. Point Secondary school or Hobsonville School. Scott to follow this up and have this confirmed early week 3. Jean Marie (Matua Ngaru) is ahppy to run the day if need be. All teams ranked 1 & 2 will compete in the tournament down at the Trusts Arena.
