Welcome to our website - 40 years of New Zealand Gold Wing Riders

In 2026 we celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Club.  

This all began in 1986 when a Masterton local, Glen Bull thought it was a good idea to form a NZ Club of Gold Wing owners. He had contacted the local Honda dealers and obtained a list of those who had purchased the new bikes.  Glen and his wife Maureen wrote to the owners, inviting them to an inaugural gathering in Masterton.  And thus the Club began.

We are excited to host our 40th anniversary back in Masterton.  Four of those original members are still with us today and will be special quests at the 40th.  Bikes and membership have changed over the years, but the core values of fun, friendship and a common love of the Gold Wing still exist as strong as ever.  For both past and present members who may like to attend, you would be very welcome.

We gather on Friday 13th November for a meet and greet at the Copthorne Hotel.  Saturday will include our AGM in the morning. Following this we will have a show and shine of bikes old and new.  Then Saturday night we host our anniversary dinner where some special surprises await.
