We have two different avenues for communicating with Whānau and vice versa.

Hero - Hero is our student management system that can be downloaded from your app store. This is our main source for up-to-date information about sports, events, curriculum activities etc.  You can  access your child's information, enrol on-line, message the school for absentees.  The school can send notices through this app too.  Eventually as data is put into Hero you will be kept updated on your child's progress throughout the year and what they are working on at school.  The school must have your current email address to accept you as a user of this app.  Any information on this site relating to your child will only be seen by the person who accesses your email address.

​​​​​​​Facebook - The school has a Facebook page that we regularly post notices or pictures of what's happening at school. You are able to private message the school through this page also. The name of the page is simply "Otane School".  There is a link to our Facebook page on this website so any notices that are put up on facebook will show up on here too.
