2016 Rio Olympics - August -Brazil

CONGRATULATIONS QUENTIN AND ALANA!

In the heat of Rio Quentin’s 12th place in the 50 km gave all of us watchers a great thrill and his time of 3:49.32 was only 44 seconds over his PB.

Alana’s 35th in the hotter part of the day for 35th in the 20 km in 1:35.55 also gave us watchers a thrill.  She battled the heat but despite being as she said “In the Zombie mode” from 14 km got through and was only 3:07 over her PB.

So on behalf of all RWNZ members, and the many non-member walkers who watched I am so happy to send congratulations to Quentin and Alana for performing so well on Friday
