Our adult learn-to-sail instruction is for those with little or no sailing experience

Priority is given to new sailors who, after completing their training, want to sail with the club on a regular basis.

Three critical things you'll learn:
Balancing - keeping the boat from tipping over too much
Steering - pointing the boat in the direction you want to go
Using the wind - putting the sail in the right spot to make the boat move.

Adult learn-to-sail training takes place on Saturday mornings 9:00 to 12:00 during the sailing season.

We will ensure you get at least three one-on-one training sessions with a qualified instructor.

Following that you will be given further instruction each Saturday morning. You will then be paired with either another student or a junior sailor to go out and refine your skills in one of the two club boats (Fevas).

These Feva sailing dinghies are available for adult training during the Saturday morning sessions, and are also available, for use by confident members for Saturday afternoon sailing.
