MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Riders may join the hunt on a casual basis up to three times per season by paying the applicable capping fee.

To support the hunt, riders are encouraged to become members after attending their third hunt. Any capping fees already paid during the season will be discounted from the membership fee.

2026 MEMBERSHIP FEES (INCLUDING GST)

  • Senior – $500
  • Student (under 21) – $350
  • Junior (under 18) – $150
  • Family 1 – $800 (1 adult plus first two junior members within one family. Subsequent junior members are free)
  • Family 2 – $1,150 (2 adults plus first junior member within one family. Subsequent junior members are free)

NZHA LEVIES (INCLUDED IN MEMBERSHIP FEES – $43 PER RIDER)

  • NZHA Founders Fund Contribution – $20
  • NZHA Annual Rider Levy – $23

NZHA levies apply per rider.

SCH ASSOCIATE SUBSCRIPTION – $250

  • Must be a full financial member of Waimate District Hunt before Opening Hunt
  • Does not include the Flying Fillies Hunt or combined/invitational hunts
  • Applies only between South Canterbury Hunt and Waimate District Hunt
  • Not a full membership – no voting rights
  • Valid for the 2026 season only
  • Allows hunting between the two hunts without paying capping fees

2026 CAPPING FEES (INCLUDING GST)

  • Members of South Canterbury Hunt – No charge
  • Members of other hunts – $50 (Junior $40)
  • Non-members – $60 (Junior $50)

Capping fees apply as per Family 1 and Family 2 definitions within one family.

2026 HUNT TRAINING DAYS (INCLUDING GST)

  • Members of South Canterbury Hunt – No charge
  • Non-members – $10

OTHER OPTIONS

  • Friends of the Hunt (non-riding members) – $25
  • Hound Sponsorship (Family or Corporate Sponsor) – $200 per hound
