Lake Taupō District Sports Advisory Council is delighted to announce that the Taupo District Sports Awards 2025 will take place on Friday 31 October 2025 from 6.30 - 9.30pm at the Wairakei Resort Taupo.

This formal awards evening with buffet dinner will have a strong emphasis on celebrating district wide sport across our three communities, and will recognise and share development of sport at a club and volunteer level, celebrate success across multiple junior athlete categories, honour sportspeople performing nationally and internationally and support athletes through the awarding of scholarships and grants.

Nominations can be made for the following categories:-

• Team of the Year (Secondary Y9-13)
• Team of the Year (Adult)​​​​​​​                
• Sportsperson of the Year (Secondary– Male)               
• Sportsperson of the Year (Secondary– Female)
• Sportsperson of the Year (Adult
• Coach of the Year (All ages)
• Club Contributor of the Year

• Cash bar available on the night
