Friday Night Inter-clubs

Friday night inter-clubs are the competitive fixture on the calendar, running 5.30–7.30pm at the all-weather track in Timaru.

Points are awarded across all grades on these Friday nights, with medals and trophies presented in each age group at the end of the season. Two alternating programmes are run throughout the series.

One meet each season is a ribbon/quadrathon meet: grades 7–9 compete for ribbons across four events, while grades 10 and over compete in a quadrathon series for points, with medals awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each grade.

A Mid-South Canterbury Representative team will be selected from athletes attending these events, to compete against the Canterbury B Team in Timaru towards the end of the season. Details will be posted on our Facebook page ahead of each event.

To be eligible for points, athletes must be registered financial members and compete in club uniform with their age patch.
