About Temuka Athletic Club

Temuka Athletic Club has a proud history stretching back to 1893, when the first athletic meeting was held in Temuka. Over 130 years on, the club is as strong as ever.

We're a fun, family-friendly club, run largely by volunteer parents, and open to kids of all ages and abilities. Whether your child is a natural on the track or just keen to give something new a go, there's a place for them here. We encourage every child to have fun, build skills in running, jumping and throwing, and take part safely in the spirit of fair play.

Members get the chance to compete against each other and against other clubs throughout the season — and for those who want to push further, there are opportunities to be selected for Canterbury or Mid/South Canterbury representative teams.

New members and helpers are always welcome. Come along on a Monday night and see what we're about — no experience necessary.
