About Temuka Athletic Club

Temuka Athletic Club has a proud history stretching back to 1893, when the first athletic meeting was held in Temuka. Over 130 years on, the club is as strong as ever.

We're a fun, family-friendly club, run largely by volunteer parents — and it's their dedication and commitment that keeps producing competitive athletes year after year. The club actively encourages all children to have fun, develop skills in running, jumping and throwing, and to participate safely in the spirit of fair play.

Members get the opportunity to compete against each other and against other athletics clubs throughout the season, including chances to be selected for Canterbury or Mid/South Canterbury representative team honours.

New members and helpers are always welcome — come along on a Monday night and see what we're about.
