Baseball In School's Programme

Te Tau Ihu offers a FREE of charge Baseball In Schools Programme for all schools in the Top Of The South to make baseball and teeball accessible to everyone. Our aim is to introduce the game to our future players, plus teach tamariki the fundamentals of throwing, catching and swinging, which are prerequisite skills for many sports.

The programme can be catered to your requirements, to cover all classes, specific year groups or lunch time games.

The programme is focused on:
- introducing the game of baseball/teeball
- introducing the fundamentals of throwing, catching & batting in age appropriate methods
- introducing skills that are useful in many sports
- particpation and having fun
- mini games with modified rules for maximum enjoyment by all
- coaches structure sessions to include everyone, whatever their physical capabilities

The sessions are run by our nationally recognised coaches, all of whom are police vetted.

In 2022 we taught more than 3,000 children and 100 teachers through these in-school sessions, thanks to our coaches.
