TOURNAMENT SECRETARY REPORT:
1. TV Opening Day at TCBC: Well attended, with 24 Teams of 4’s participating.
2. Next Events on Calendar: 24/25 Sept: TV Mixed Open Singles.
Currently 52 Entries; Venues: Tui Park x 2 Grass Greens, Thames Coast x 1 & Waihi Beach x 1.
1/2 Oct: TV M/W Open Triples.
Men at Thames Coast & Women at Waihi Beach.
8/9 Oct: TV Mixed Open 2x4x2 Pairs.
15/16 Oct: National Intercentre Finals at Browns Bay (Featuring our TV Ladies Team)
3. Alan spoke about “BowlsHub” and explained the procedure re: draw, results etc. which is to be used for the first time at the Mixed Open Singles Event.
Controllers for this weekend, Wayne 1, Wayne 2 & Alan, together with Greenkeepers involved will be drawn to appointed locations, all other Players drawn random.

4. Re: Markers: All agreed, onus should be on participants.
5. There are to be Green Assessments throughout TV commencing 1st week of October.
UMPIRES ASSN. REPORT:
1. John reported that we do not have a sufficient number of Umpires available for the upcoming Events. Murray appointed to Tui Park’s 2 Greens, Mixed Open Singles.
2. Bowls NZ have sent new shirts & jackets out to all qualified Umpires.
COACHES ASSN. REPORT:
David reported on the “much anticipated” Coaches weekend commencing tomorrow at Whangamata BC, & felt all who attended would benefit.
HEALTH & SAFETY: Nothing to report.

GENERAL BUSINESS:
1. Pres Wayne spoke briefly on probable costs to be incurred this weekend for Ross Falconer re: Bowls NZ Coaching at Whangamata BC. It was agreed expenses be reimbursed by TV Bowls.
2. Pres Wayne spoke on the hireage of TV Greens for Rep Fixtures & the preference for Grass.
3. Pres Wayne reported he had sent Flowers to Patroness Margaret Reid, who was recently in Hospital. Molly conveyed Margaret’s thanks for them.
4. David advised that Pauanui is considering an increase for their Club Entry Fees from 1st January. A discussion followed, most agreed, however the general feeling was that any change should be made at the beginning of the Season.
5. Tony (TV Delegate) gave a very brief report on his attendance at the Bowls NZ AGM recently held in Dunedin. Meeting lasted 45 minutes, left him feeling somewhat disillusioned!
6. Kaye reported that the Tracksuits ordered for the Intercentre Women’s Finalists are now available for distribution.
7. John reported that the Kittyhawk Tournament Flyer has been sent out to all Clubs, & is hopeful of a good response.
