Upper Hutt City Football aims to be THE club of choice for girls’ and women’s football in the Hutt Valley, providing development opportunities for female players of all ages and stages.

Out of the ~30 Football clubs in the Greater Wellington region, we are consistently in the top 4 in terms of playing numbers, with some talented coaches leading the teams, and a committed senior management team striving to provide a quality football experience both on and off the field for female players. 

Junior Girls Only Teams

Upper Hutt City Football has Girls Only teams playing in Sunday competitions at U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17.

This allows our junior girls the option to play in Girls Only on Sunday morning, OR, play Mixed leagues on Saturday morning, OR, they can play in both Mixed AND Girls Only for no extra cost!

Where there are enough interested female players, we also support girls’ only teams in the junior mixed leagues.

Fantails (Girls aged 8-11)

The NZ Football MILO Fantails programme was introduced to Upper Hutt early May 2025.

Looking for a fun way for your daughter to get active, make new friends, and give football a go? The MILO Fantails Football Programme is the perfect place to start!

Designed specifically for girls aged 7-10 years, Fantails provides a safe, supportive, and enjoyable environment where players can learn new skills, build confidence, and develop a love for the game. No previous football experience is required – just bring a smile and a willingness to have fun!

Programme Details

When: Term 4, 2026. Monday Nights 6-7pm.

Where: Maidstone Park Turf, Upper Hutt

Cost: $40 for 8 weeks

Throughout the programme, participants will take part in exciting football activities and games designed to help them learn the fundamentals of football while enjoying being active with other girls their age.

Whether your child is trying football for the first time or looking for a fun way to stay involved in the sport, MILO Fantails is a fantastic opportunity to get started.
