TRIALS

Seniors:

• Senior trial 1:  Sunday 9 March 2-4 pm @ Akau Tangi Sports Centre, 72 Kemp St, Kilbirnie
• Senior trial 2* is a closed trial which you will be invited to attend. It will be held on Tuesday 11 March @ Akau Tangi Sports Centre 

Juniors:

• Junior trial 1:  Wednesday 5 March   4 - 6pm @ Akau Tangi Sports Centre (formerly ASB), 72 Kemp St, Kilbirnie
• Junior trial 2* s a closed trial which you will be invited to attend.  It will be held on Monday 10 March @ Akau Tangi Sports Centre

*Please note, the second trial for both Juniors and Seniors will be for athletes invited to attend following the first trial.  We need to manage numbers due to the anticipated amount of triallists and also court availability, however, we will ensure the trial process is transparent and allows for all athletes to be considered for selection appropriately.

It is important to attend  trials to gain the best exposure to the selectors.  If you are unable to attend a trial you must let us know at least 24 hours beforehand. 

• After trials the selected players will break into 2 squads who will continue to train/trial over the next 3 weeks before teams are announced. 
• If you make it through trials to a squad, you are still not guaranteed into a competitive team.

MOUTH GUARDS - CSW requires all athletes playing basketball (Competitive) to wear a Mouth Guard. No Mouth Guard, No Play. 1 warning then you're off.

BASKETBALL SHOES - appropriate shoes are reqiured as most gymnasiums require these to prevent any potential damage to court floors.

Junior Basketball - games will be played either at our Wellington College Sports Centre (home games), or, at the opposition schools gym (away games).

Senior Basketball - our Senior A and B team will play games at ASB Stadium in Kilbirnie. Other Senior Teams may also play at ASB Stadium, or, depending on Division, may play games at our Wellington College Sports Centre (home games), or, at the opposition schools gym (away games).

Junior Basketball - games are played on Tuesday evenings. Times are scheduled by College Sport Wellington and can be found in their Draws & Results page.

Senior Basketball - games are played on Friday evenings. Times are usually from 5.30pm, but may change depending on Division. Times can be found on the College Sport Wellington webiste on their Draws & Results page.

$70 (registration) for Juniors. NOTE: a further $50 is payable if selected into a competitive team.
