WELCOME TO THE WELLINGTON COLLEGE BASKETBALL 

Basketball has long been one of the most popular sports at Wellington College.  Selection for teams which compete in the College Sport Wellington (CSW) leagues is limited, as there are more boys wanting to play than there are teams available. 

Our Senior A team plays at Akau Tangi Centre on Friday nights in the Premier division, our Senior B team also play at Akau Tangi in Division 1 on Friday nights.  All other Senior and Junior teams play in school gyms during the week.

Competitive Basketball

Wellington College has 4 Senior teams and 4 Junior teams (year 9 and 10 boys) playing in the

CSW  basketball leagues. CSW website click here. 

Please note: players selected for the Senior A basketball teams will have a regional tournament and if qualify, NZSS Nationals to attend.  There are travel/accommodation costs associated with this. 

Registration and Payment:      

• Seniors $150

• Juniors $150

• If you trial and do not make a team, we will refund you back the fee less trial admin costs of $20.

• If you trial and don't make a team, and choose to play social, we will refund you back $80.

INTRAMURAL LEAGUE

Intramural league cost is $70.00.  

Those trialling and not placed in a CSW league team can use the $70.00 trial cost as the payment for the intramural league.  

Players may elect to register for the intramural league without going through the trial process for a CSW league team.  If a player opts to not play in the intramural league after trialing then they can have $130.00 fee refunded (less trial fee of $20).
