FIRST KICKS
For players aged 3-6 years old as of May 1st 2025
First Kicks is a fun and friendly environment providing an introduction to football for our youngest players.
Each session focuses on general movement, football technique, football coordination and finishing with a small-sided game in line with the Whole of Football Plan from NZ Football.
Players are split into groups of around 8-12 kids and engage in football fun based activities where they learn the fundamentals of the greatest team sport in the world FOOTBALL! All our sessions finish with a small sided (4v4 or 5v5) game so your child will burn off lots of energy.
Key things we focus on:
Movement & Agility

How does this happen:
First kicks is manged by our First Kicks coordinator and run by the greatest coaching volunteers in the world - parents, older siblings or guardians! WAFC will hold a light hearted coaching session preseason to upskill parents and will provide support on the day.
