2020/21 Season

Honey Bowl V was postponed to 2021/22 season due to the late start to the season due to Covid 19 Pandemic combined with reasource issues made it difficult to succesfully run our normal season. Instead we ran a series of weekend competitions as a trail run for future seasons. Although the conpetitions were fun, we found most club members preferred the original season of a round robin competition.

Also due to the pandemic, the 2020 Club championship was postponed to later in the year. So the 2020/21 season also saw us compete in the 2020 National club Champs in October 2020 and also the 2021 Club Champs in March 2021. The 2020/21 MTF Nelson Honey Baders showing alot new players to the Club Champs, finished 3rd in Both of these Tournaments. Exciting to see such great new talent coming through, the future looks bright for the Nelson Honey Badgers! 

The Club also hosted the first ever leg of the National Quad series. The honey badgers entered two teams in this offseason tournament! The first of 5 Tournaments held in various locations in NZ. The remaining tournaments are to be held just before our 2021/22 season kicks off.

The 2021/22 Season should see us bounce back into form from past seasons with The MTF Nelson Honey Bowl V at our new home at Champion Green, Saxtons fields. Full season info can be found here.
