President's Message

Welcome to the Bowls South Canterbury 2026/27 season.

Bowls is a sport with a proud history, but it is also a sport that continues to evolve. As our communities, clubs and players change, so too must we embrace new ideas, new opportunities and new ways of engaging people with our game. The strength of bowls lies in its ability to bring people together - whether you're a lifelong competitor, a social player, a newcomer giving the sport a try, or someone striving to reach the highest levels of performance.

As a centre, our goal is simple: to ensure everyone enjoys their bowls experience at whatever level they choose or aspire to play. From club days and local tournaments through to centre championships and representative events, every player contributes to the vibrant and welcoming bowls community we are proud to be part of.

On behalf of Bowls South Canterbury, I wish all players, volunteers, officials and supporters a successful and enjoyable season. The Board and I look forward to getting out to clubs across the region, sharing in your tournaments and events, and meeting many of you throughout the year.
