Great finish for Kia Toa winning both the Senior and Junior Champion of Champion Singles.
In the Junior Champion of Champion Singles, winner Lynne Hodges had an outstanding run through to take her first title.
In the first round Lynne was up against Sharon Brown of Timaru. Sharon is a first year bowler and one to keep an eye on. Final score 21 - 11.
Chrissy Herbert (Pleasant Point) played Helen Lowe (Waimate). This game was great to watch and could have gone either way with the score being 19 all after 20 ends. Chrissy picked up two on the last to win 21 - 19. Outstanding.
In the first semi final, Temuka's Helen Rooney played Jo Lane from Fairlie. Both are new to the big stage with Helen being a first year bowler. They had an enjoyable game, with Jo taking the win 21 - 5.
The final: Lynne Hodges and Jo Lane.
Lynne took the lead in the 8th end and never let it go. Some outstanding bowls played by both. In the end Lynne was too good and came away with the win 21 - 8. Congratulations to Lynne for her first title.
