Dunedin Branch Pony Club

Rallies

Mounted Rally
During Spring, Summer and Autumn, we hold weekly mounted rallies on a Wednesday night starting at 6pm and ending at 7.30pm. In the Winter months, we may occasionally hold rallies only as the weather allows.

Mounted rallies are a great chance to meet with the team, practice your riding skils and learn from your instructors.

There will be a level 2 or higher first aider on site during this time and we will announce an official end to the rally in the evenings when the first aider is able to leave the grounds. All members on the grounds after this time are responsible for thier own safety.

No child under 18-years-old is to be unaccompanied at rallies unless otherwise organized and the head coach or rally coordinator have been informed who is responsible for that rider.

We run rallies on a five-week rotation so all riders have a variety of lessons throughout the season.

Theory Rally
During the winter, we hold regular Theory Rallies to help assist riders who are working through their Pony Club Certificates. These rallies are structured to match the stage that each rider is at with their Certificates.

Rally Attendance

To be an active pony club member riders must attend the minimum number of rallies according to their certificate level. (i.e., C+ and under need five rallies. Either five ridden OR two theory three ridden) this is a strict requirement for any teams events. Additionally, a minimum of three ridden rallies on the same mount are required to participate in teams events or sit certificates.
