COMING SOON

Please have the entries completed by Monday 14th November and handed into the office with payment.  If you are attending the South Island Games please indicate this clearly on the form so we enter the children at the correct venue.  Any questions please speak to a committee member.

What are they?

The Colgate Games, held in January every year, are 3-day events in both the North and South Islands. For children, these are the biggest Athletics meets in New Zealand with up to around 1500 athletes attending. The Colgate Games are open to all registered athletes aged 7-14yrs.

Do you have to qualify?

No, but you must submit a registration form with payment by the closing date. There are NO late entries allowed.

How much does it cost?

Athletes:   Each event is $6 and children can enter up to 5 events as well as competing in relays. Payment is either into the club bank account, with Family name and Colgate Games in the reference section or cash to the office with your entry form.

Spectators:   There is a charge at the gate for spectators, but you can buy a 3-day pass that allows you to come and go as many times as you like.

How do the events and awards work?

7 - 9 year olds:     Each race is a straight final and pennants are given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. Consolation ribbons will be awarded to all other competitors.

10-14 year olds.   Heats, semi-finals and finals will operate with medals given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. 'Finalist' ribbons will be awarded to all 8 competitors qualifying for a final.
