The Ocean Grove Recreation Hall, managed by Grants Braes AFC, is a versatile venue available for hire to accommodate a wide range of events, from community gatherings and birthday parties to sports-related functions and private events. Conveniently located in Ocean Grove, Dunedin, the Hall offers a spacious interior with seating, tables, kitchen facilities, and ample parking, making it an ideal location for various occasions.

Grants Braes AFC offers several flexible hire options to suit different needs:

Regular Hire: Available for $400, which covers a 48-hour period. This includes a $100 bond refundable upon satisfactory inspection of the Hall after the event. Any damages incurred during the hire will be deducted from the bond, and any additional costs beyond the bond amount will be charged to the hirer.

Under-5 Birthday Parties: The Hall can be hired by donation, with the understanding that any damage incurred during the event is the responsibility of the renter. All costs for repairs or cleaning will be billed to the hirer if necessary.

Under-16 Birthday Parties: The Hall hire fee is $200, which includes a $50 bond refundable upon satisfactory inspection after the event. Any damage or additional cleaning required will result in deductions from the bond, with further charges applied if the bond does not cover the costs.

Grants Braes AFC Registered Members: Registered club members enjoy free Hall hire as a perk. However, they remain fully responsible for any damages or cleaning costs incurred during the hire. Lost or damaged door tags will incur a $400 replacement fee.

All hirers are expected to leave the Hall in the same clean and tidy condition it was in at the start of the hire. The Hall must be secured, with all electrical appliances turned off, and rubbish removed at the end of the event. Grants Braes AFC is committed to maintaining the Hall as a valuable community resource, and these guidelines ensure it remains welcoming and functional for all users.
