New Zealand’s premier hockey facility
The new National Hockey Centre at Rosedale Park West is New Zealand’s leading international hockey facility and is built on Auckland Council reserve land.
Harbour Hockey Charitable Trust (HCCT) owns the facility and it is occupied primarily by the North Harbour Hockey Association (North Harbour Hockey), New Zealand’s third-largest hockey association. It is also Hockey New Zealand’s training base for its Vantage Black Sticks men’s and women’s teams and some of its high-performance programmes.
North Harbour Hockey is responsible for the hockey programmes, competitions and events across the North Harbour region, catering for 11 clubs, 100 schools, 30+ representative teams and development programmes for all ages and stages. It also has New Zealand’s largest summer hockey and Masters programme.
The HHCT’s objectives require the facility to be well used by a cross-section of the community. We work closely with North Harbour Hockey to ensure that many different organisations, schools and sporting groups can have access to the facility in addition to the hockey community. This will normally see up to 12,000 visits to the facility each week during peak season for community and sporting activities.
