Did you know volleyball is the second biggest secondary school sport in Aotearoa?

  • Approx. 8500 tamariki, rangatahi & pakeke participate in volleyball in the Harbour region: Indoor volleyball is growing at 20% every year and beach at over 40%!!

  • Volleyball is incredibly diverse – i60% of players are girls/women! We represent all ages and ethnicities – around 25% of participants identify as Asian.

Harbour Volleyball is New Zealand’s largest and most successful Regional Association, home to a vibrant community of players, coaches, and supporters. We’re one of 15 Regional Associations affiliated to Volleyball New Zealand.

We deliver high-quality indoor, beach and grass volleyball programmes for all ages and stages, from beginners discovering the sport to athletes competing at the highest levels. We want to develop volleyball across the Harbour region and create opportunities for everyone to play, grow, and belong.

We’re super proud to operate out of our own dedicated Beach Volleyball Centre in Mairangi Bay. The facility features six outdoor sand courts and serves as a hub for casual play, training, community connection and it is where the Harbour Volleyball staff are based.
