COMPETITIVE TOURNAMENTS BEACH 
AT HARBOUR VOLLEYBALL

Harbour runs 6 Challenger events per summer season. The Challengers are a national development tier within the NZ Beach Tour, designed for aspiring, developing, and competitive regional athletes.

They offer VNZ ranking points, which determine seeding and eligibility for higher‑tier events.

Harbour Challenger Dates:

  • 2026 24th October/7th November/19th December

  • 2027 23rd January/27th February/20th March

Harbour Open:

This is a regional open event that gives athletes a higher‑level competition experience, with structured divisions and more match play across two days. It is a flagship beach volleyball tournament and attracts many of the country’s top athletes.

Harbour Age Group Championship:

The Harbour Age Group Championship is mostly aimed towards our Beach IPC selected teams, but others may join if they fit the U19 and U17 criteria. You must not turn 17 or 19 in 2027 in order to play in these divisions.

For our selected Beach IPC teams, the Harbour Age Group Champs determine seeding for the Beach IPC Tournament in January 2027.
