About Us​​​​​​​

Behind Orakei Junior Volleyball is a group of mostly parent volunteers who:

• Are current/former volleyballer players and adminstrators
• All live in the Orakei schools catchment area and have children that go to local primary and intermediate schools
• Have a passion for volleyball and want to give kids in the area a chance to experience the game at an earlier age than they did
• Want to showcase the many positives of volleyball but particularly 'fun', 'teamwork' and 'success'
• For those children who really enjoy the sport and want to progress their development, help them reach their potential
  
• We are specifically focused on programs and competitions for School Years 5 to 10, which is unique in New Zealand.

We don't really see ourselves as a sports club per se but rather an organisation that will provide a quality and enjoyable experience for your child.

And we would like to say a big thank you to those parent who entrust us to deliver on this goal for the children in their lives.
