Our Head Coaches
Lucy Pomeroy represented New Zealand in both indoor and beach volleyball. She has served as a director for Volleyball New Zealand, where she has been involved in governance and leadership roles. Her work has helped shape the direction and development of the sport in the country.
Grant Hill is a decorated Masters volleyball player having won 9 national titles and a gold medal at the 2009 World Masters Games in the Indoor 40+ competition. He was President of Wellington Volleyball for 10 years where he led the introduction of KiwiVolley, is a FIVB certified coach and is a recipient of Volleyball NZ’s Service Award.
Hamish Drummond played most of his volleyball in Canterbury winning 4 national club championship titles. He represented NZ at both U19 level and Senior levels. At the 2017 World Masters Games he won double gold medals in the Indoor 45+ and 4-aside beach competitions. Along the way he has coached many high school and club teams.
Alison Heal has played volleyball from school age through to today, winning both school and national club championships. She represented NZ at the World University Games and now competes in masters tournaments. Ali loves helping young players grow, develop their skills and discover the same love for volleyball that's kept her on court for all these years.
Garth Taylor represented New Zealand in both indoor and beach volleyball with a best result of bronze at the Oceania Championships. Garth was lucky to be coached by some legends of NZ volleyball and is now motivated to 'pay it forward' to the next generation of children.
Christina Campbell played for USA junior rep teams during high school and went on to become a 2x All American setter for Biola University (California USA). After Uni, she played professionally in European Volleyball league at GislavedVK (Sweden). Upon retiring from her international career, Christina has coached at both the elite youth development and collegiate levels in Southern California.
