Payment Plans

Rainbow Games may make the Play in 3 payment option available for eligible registrations.

Payment schedule

Where Play in 3 is selected:

a. $30 is payable when the registration is submitted;

b. a further $30 is payable 14 calendar days after the date of registration; and

c. the remaining registration balance is payable no later than 3 calendar days before registrations close for the relevant sport or participation pathway.

Registration closing dates may differ between sports and participation pathways.

Registrations made close to closing

Play in 3 is available only where sufficient time remains before the applicable registration closing date.

Where there is insufficient time to complete the standard three-payment schedule, Rainbow Games may shorten the payment schedule and require the outstanding balance to be paid sooner.

Where the final payment deadline has been reached or passed, full payment may be required when registering.

Responsibility for payment

Participants are responsible for ensuring that their registration balance is paid by the applicable final payment deadline.

Rainbow Games may send payment reminders. Failure to receive a reminder does not alter a payment due date or remove responsibility for an outstanding balance.

Outstanding balances

If a balance remains unpaid after the applicable final payment deadline, Rainbow Games may, acting reasonably and at its discretion:

a. request payment of the outstanding balance;

b. provide additional time for payment;

c. cancel the registration;

d. waive part or all of the outstanding balance; or

e. absorb part or all of the outstanding balance and allow the registration to continue.

An extension, waiver or absorbed balance is considered on a case-by-case basis and does not create an entitlement for another participant.

Unless Rainbow Games confirms otherwise, an outstanding balance remains payable until it is paid, waived, absorbed or otherwise resolved.

Registration status

A registration is not automatically cancelled solely because a payment deadline has passed.

Rainbow Games may determine the final status of an unpaid registration before the relevant sport closes.

The registration may be recorded as:

• paid in full;

• approved with part or all of the balance waived or absorbed; or

• cancelled.

Refunds and cancellations

Payments made through Play in 3 remain subject to the cancellation and refund provisions elsewhere in these Terms and Conditions.

An amount waived or absorbed by Rainbow Games is not an amount paid by the participant and will not form part of any refund calculation.

Nothing in these payment terms limits any rights a participant has under applicable New Zealand consumer law.
