Matches will be held on Saturday, 31 October, first whistle will go at 10am, please arrive early for warm up and getting yourself ready.

The draw and schedule will be released ASAP. This will include notification about composite teams if you have registered as an individual.

• You can enter as part of a team or as an individual (we’ll match you with a team). 

• Each player must register individually via the Rainbow Games registration platform. When registering, make sure to enter your team name or tick to be placed in a team. 

• Registrations close on 16 October 2026. Late registrations will not be accepted.  

Can I join if I don’t have a team? 

Absolutely! Register as a solo player, and we’ll do our best to place you in a team with other individual sign-ups. 

• Wear comfortable activewear suitable for football (shorts, sports tops). 

• Shin pads are recommended for safety. 

• Footwear should be trainers (no metal studs).

• Bibs may be provided if your team doesn’t have matching shirts.

Competition will played as a round-robin style followed by play-offs. Each team will get a minimum of five games.

​​​​​​​How many players per team? 

• Teams are made up of 5 players on the field, plus up to 5 substitutes. 

• You’ll need a minimum of 5 players to play, but we recommend having a couple of extras for rotation and rest. 

What level is the competition? 

This is an inclusive, social competition. We welcome players of all skill levels, and the emphasis is on fun, connection, and community. If numbers allow, we may group teams by competitive level. 

What kind of pitch and rules will be used? 

• Games will be played on an outdoor grass field. 

• A standard 5-a-side ball will be used. 

• Basic 5-a-side rules will apply (no offside, smaller goals, shorter halves). 

• Final match rules will be confirmed with teams ahead of the tournament. 

​​​​​​​What equipment is provided? 

• Match balls, cones, bibs, and goals will be supplied by the organisers. 

• Referees will officiate all games. 

• First aid support will be available on site. 

Games will go ahead rain or shine unless weather conditions are deemed unsafe. We’ll contact teams promptly if there are any disruptions. 

Yes! Medals will be awarded at the end of play. We’re all about celebrating participation too – so expect high vibes, not just high scores.
