PERMANENT GRAZING IS AVAILABLE
SVPC is able to offer permanent grazing to a small number of riding members (4-24yrs) based on committee approval and using a ‘wait list’ system and to other members on fixed / short-term agreements depending on ground conditions and available pasture. The terms and conditions for grazing are contained within the SVPC Grazing Terms and Conditions document located under the 'codes and policies' TAB. Members must formally apply for grazing by completing the required forms. Grazing on the grounds is subject to committee approval for each person.
We lease a block of land of approximately 3.5 hectares of DCC recreational ground. The grounds are located off Christie Street, Abbotsford - above the Green Island Rugby football club lower fields/clubrooms and below the top playing fields. Access to the grounds is via the upper carpark (signposted access to Paintball at the bottom) and the lower lane road across the road from the end of John Street.
There is no power or water on our grounds, so you will need to supply your own water and electric fencing (tape, standards, and battery/solar-operated electric fence unit)
A track connects the lower fields to the upper fields, and this is a public track, so we ask that riders keep to the side, ride only at a walk and be courteous to other users.
No dogs are allowed on the grounds
