The 2017 Mac Robertson Sheild has started in Palm Springs (California) where the New Zealand team is defending the Sheild which they won in NZ in 2014. The first test has just completed with Australia defeating Great Britain 12-9 and NZ defeating the USA 11-10. Checkout the results of individual matches on croquet scores.com. The Under 21 Golf Worlds event is over; and the New Zealand youngsters have excelled themselves.

The new World Champion is Felix Webby who defeated fellow Kiwi George Coulter in 3 straight games 7-3,7-6.7-5. South Canterbury players Edmund Fordyce won the Bowl defeating Angus Coulter 7-2,7-3. (Angus and George are brothers), while Jason Hodgett was the beaten finalist in the Plate losing out to Hemi McLaren 7-4,7-3.
