PRESIDENT
Description:
To provide the Southland Tramping & Outdoor Recreation Club with overall leadership and guidance. The role is that of an overseer who ensures the smooth running of his/her team i.e. the committee and general membership. Actively encourages the best from his/her team. The role is to encourage and promote tramping and allied recreational activities for both active and potential members. Is an elected member of the committee.
Duties:
- Chair the club and committee meetings so that meetings run to time and that they stay relevant to the topic.
- Guide the meetings so that all aspects of running club business is achieved efficiently and effectively.
- Ensure that all members who wish to be heard are able to have their opinion aired.
- Ensure complaints/issues are dealt with as per the Club’s Constitution
- Make sure that the business of the club is carried out is a professional manner such that the club is not brought into disrepute
- Ensure that office holders are completing the tasks that they have been elected for in a competent manner.
- Be familiar with the running of club business so that a watchful eye is kept to ensure the club keeps to the constitution.
- Liaise with Secretary an all aspects of Clubs business.
- Liaise with Club Captain on Trips.
- Arrange speakers and organize remuneration.
- Act as signatory to Club Bank Account.
- Forward a copy of all emails received and replies sent through Sporty to stcinfo99@gmail.com
- After Annual General Meeting ensure all Committee and Trip Leaders have a copy of their duties and responsibilities
VICE PRESIDENT
Description:
Is an elected member of the committee.
Duties:
- Attends club and committee meeting wherever possible
- Acts in a supportive manner to the President and committee in their respective roles.
- Will step in to the Presidents role in their absence.
- Ensures that the club constitution is adhered to.
