Te Kura o Tiaho - Tiaho Primary School is situated in Clyde Road, Te
Wairoa. We were opened in 2005 after the merger of both Turiroa and
Hillneath School, and have seen MANY changes over the last 20 years!
The old Tiaho site was completely demolished (minus the Hall and Pool)
early in 2024, and we have been watching our new school come to life
over the last two years, ready to begin 2026 in our brand new spaces!
Currently, Tiaho has a roll of 84 tamariki across four classrooms. We
love to create an environment that grows great little humans who are
kind, caring and love to learn! Now that the build is progressing, our
kura whānau is growing bigger each week which is fantastic to see!
All of our classsrooms are incredibly lucky to have amazing Kaiāwhina
who work alongside us every day. Tiaho tamariki are well supported in
their learning and their hauora! We laugh a lot!
Summer time is the best, because we have an incredible 25m swimming
pool that we use everyday, and we have a brand new playground with
lots of equipment to challenge us!
