Kura Hours

8:50am – Start our school day of learning

11:00am-11:30am – Morning tea

11:30am – Learning time

12:40pm – Kai time

1:00-1:30pm – Lunch play

1:30pm-2:50pm – Learning time

3:00pm – Home time

Kai

Tiaho Kura is incredibly lucky to be a part of the Lunches in Schools Programme. Our chef Kelly Marshall creates beautiful healthy kai for us here in our kitchen every day, and we all eat together as a Kura in the Hall.

We are also lucky to have the support of Fruit in Schools, and Kids Can who are amazing in generously donating fruit and other essentials for out tamariki!

Attendance

Our Office bosses monitor the attendance daily. Its really important that you come to school, not only to learn, but to make friends and learn how to play! We ask that whānau notify the school if your tamariki are going to be absent. This can either be done by phoning:

Absences with no reason are followed up with the local Attendance Officer who loves to make home visits.

School Fees and Donations

Tiaho does not charge school fees or donations. We may ask for a voluntary charge for overnight camps or trips, but advance notification on these will always be given. Stationery and Uniforms are purchased by whānau from the school.
