Process for joining Napier Aquahawks Swim Club
After completing an assessment with a coach, new swimmers must fill out the membership form. Once the form is completed, there are a few more steps to take before your swimmer becomes an official member of the club and can start to train with the team.

Step 1.
Completed membership form received by club. Annual club membership fees will be invoiced on receipt of this form. Membership fees are separate to coaching fees, and are paid annually. Your swimmer must be an approved financial member to train with the team.
Step 2.
All Napier Aquahawks Swimmers are required to register with Swimming NZ, instructions will be given on how to do so once the membership form has been received. FastLane is the registration system operated by Swimming New Zealand (SNZ) for swimmers. Swimmers will not be able to sign-up for competitions until this is completed.
SNZ and HBPB Swimming charge an annual affiliation fee for Recreational and Competitive Swimmers. You’ll be able to use the SNZ portal to pay this fee, and enter competitions. Membership categories explained here:
- Competitive Swimmer - Swimmers who wish to compete for a club at all swim meets including Swimming New Zealand National Events or Regional Championships.
- Recreational Swimmer - Swimmers who are new to swimming and/or swim and train as recreation. Recreational Swimmers have the ability to enter local club nights and club championships through the SNZ online system.
Step 3.
If your swimmer is a Competitive Swimmer order their club uniform.
The first Napier Aquahawks swim cap is provided free (welcome to Aquahawks!) and an Arena Napier Aquahawks tee is compulsory for all Club and Competitive Swimmers. Other clothing items also available.
