OTAGO SOUTHLAND PONY CLUB AREA (OSAPC) SHOW JUMP CHAMPIONSHIPS

Held in October / November each year for Pony Club branch teams from within the Otago Southland area.

2025 event - Sat 15 / Sun 16 November - Taieri A&P Showgrounds, Dunedin.

PLEASE READ the following, including the Rally Attendance Rule (About Clyde Teams page) before completing an Expression of Interest.

Entries may only be done as a team, NOT as individuals (unless a draft rider) so please do not enter on Nominate yet!!!

All rider / mount combinations must meet the requirements of the Rally Attendance Rule (NZPCA Reg. 15.4) and be a current NZPCA member.
Rider age is at 1 August preceding the event.
Teams of 4 - 6 riders, with class heights of 105cm, 95cm, 85cm and 65cm . There will be a minimum of 4 riders in a team covering at least 3 of the 4 heights.
Heights and age categories - 25 years and under - 105cm, 95 cm, 85cm. 14 years and under - 65cm.
For Clyde teams you must be competing confidently and safely at the height you are nominating, either in eventing SJ, ESNZ or RAS (A&P shows.
If you are intending to nominate for a height BELOW which you normally compete please read the rules attached to the right.
Riders can ride a maximum of two mounts.
If there are insifficient Cyde riders (less than four riders) for a 3 height team, it is possible to enter a 4 rider two height team or a composite team with riders from another COPC branch.
Draft riders - the draft rider system can be used if we are unable to form a team as above. There is a seperate form to be filled in to be a draft rider and this also requires two successful live SJ competitions at the height you are nominating. Draft riders are allocated to teams by the OSAPC SJ organising committee
Costs - Team entry $300 (plus $5 rider levy and yarding / stabling)

Held in January each year for South Isalnd Pony Club branch teams

2026 event - Sat 10 / Sun 11 January - Eyerton Pony Club grounds, Canterbury

Teams of 4 - 6 riders, class heights of 105cm, 95cm and 85cm, with a minimum of one rider at each height category.
The team is made up of three age group height categories - Senior 105cm (24 years years and under); Intermediate 95cm (17 years and under); Junior 85cm (14 years and under)
There are conditions for combinations who have competed at higher heights than those they are nominating for.

To be eligable for a team reiders must be a current NZPCA member and meet the requirements of the NZPCA Rally Attendance Rule (15.4)
