WAIKATO / BAY OF PLENTY RELAY CHAMPIONSHIPS

For the most part, athletics is a sport about individual performances. Relays however introduce the team element and are a great way for children to develop their communication and planning skills. They can also allow children who may never podium as individuals, to work together as a strong team and achieve great things.

Typical events offered at the championships are:

• 4 x 100m Relays
• Medley Relays
• Field Relays (shot put, discus, long jump)

If your child is interested in being involved in a team and you know that they will be available, please advise your age group manager as soon as possible.
