Henderson Valley Pony Club welcomes adult riders to join as a members.

We have a ride range of adult riders, from those just starting out, to more established riders and those wanting to do competitions.  Many of our riders are parents of junior riders and enjoy the opportunity to ride themselves.

The current membership fee is $250.00 per season plus $65 NZPCA membership levies, plus a working bee levy of $80/family for new members the first season they join.  For this you get full access to the Pony Club grounds for the season (from 1st September to 31st August).  The Adult Ride has full access to Henderson Valley Pony Club’s grounds throughout the year, which include the dressage arena, show-jumping arena and jumps, and cross-country course so you are welcome to use the facilities as much as you want. Please note: junior rallies are held on Wednesday evenings and we ask that you respect their rally time and do not ride then.

As an adult riding member you also will get the opportunity to join in adult rally.  There is a small additional weekly cost for adult rallies to cover coaching.

Henderson Valley Pony Club Adult Ride holds weekly rallies on Tuesday evenings from 6.00 - 7.30pm. We usually have two groups and cover all aspects of riding: dressage, show jumping, cross country and other disciplines or activities that riders are interested in.. We do not have a formal uniform but tidy casual dress is expected. Our rallies are a lot of fun and we receive great support from fellow riders and coaches. So, whether it is enjoying getting together once a week to catch up on what everyone has been up to, or preparing for a competition, we cater for all levels of riding for both horse and rider.

One or two rally groups will be offered, with coaches and predetermined rally activities notified to riders a week prior to each rally.  Adult riders need to sign up by Friday each week if they would like to participate in the coming week's rally and which coach/activities they would prefer.  Group numbers are capped at 6 riders.  First in first served in regard to booking for adult rallies.  Anyone that misses out one week will get first priority the next week.  If there are a sufficient number of adult riders regularly wanting to do rally, an additional coach would be organised if required.
