Basic First Aid Kit

Aluminium foil blanket 1

• Crepe bandage (100 mm) 1
• Triangular bandage cloth (sterile) 1
• Non-adherent sterile dressings  (2 or 3 of various sizes)
• Gauze dressings  (2 or 3)
• Sticking tape  (1 roll)
• Plastic strip dressing  (6–10 bandaids)
• Dressing strip
• Pain relief (e.g. Paracetamol)
• Insect repellent
• Antihistamine tablets  (3–6)
• Sunscreen and Lip Balm.
• Aspirin tabs - at least 4.
• Disposable CPR face shield
• Notebook and Pencil (ball point ink is not waterproof)
• Disposable gloves.
• Safety pins
• Scissors
• Personal medication

Each person should carry the recommended items in a waterproof container. If you are going on a long trip, or to a very isolated place, you may decide to carry a more comprehensive first aid kit.
